Jiawei Chen (陈佳威)

I am an Associate Professor from the Department of Information Management and Electronic Commerce at School of Information Management and Engineering in Shanghai University of Finance and Economics.
My research focuses on digital intelligence and governance for online platforms. For digital intelligence, I design data mining algorithms and methods to solve business problems. My current research is dedicated to predictive behavior modeling and personalized recommendations for emerging businesses. In terms of digital governance, I examine the societal and economic impacts of digital services. My recent research has beed devoted to digital governance for user-generated content (UGC) and AI-generated content (AIGC) platforms.
Before joining SIME@SUFE, I received my Ph.D. from the Department of Management Science and Engineering at School of Economics and Management in Tsinghua University. My advisor is Hongyan Liu. My dissertation is about personalized recommendation techniques based on user behavior characteristics in sharing economy. I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the School of Information at Renmin University of China.
